NanoDays at WOW! – April 2nd & April 3rd
Back by popular demand, NanoDays is the biggest event for the smallest science! Join us to imagine, discover, and explore a world that’s too small to see! Drop-in activities and free giveaways available from 10:00am to 1:00pm each day. This program is included with Museum admission. NanoDays is a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering and its potential impact on the future. Organized by NISE Net, NanoDays is the largest public outreach effort in nanoscale informal science education and involves museums, research centers, and universities from Puerto Rico to Alaska.
WOW!’s Black & White Gala – Friday, April 13th
You’re invited to join us on Friday, April 13that A Spice of Life Event Center for WOW!’s Black & White Gala, a fundraiser event with a whole new spin! Enjoy appetizers, sit down dinner, cocktails, exciting live and silent auction, casino gaming tables, helicopter rides with Copters for a Cause and more! Special guest emcee Ken Clark from FOX 31′s Good Day Colorado. All proceeds raised directly benefit WOW!’s Scholarship Fund, providing free museum admissions and low cost memberships to over 12,000 children and families in need. This Month’s Topic: Our Animal Friends
Discover your inner scientist! Drop-in and explore our monthly informal hands-on science sessions. This month, we’re learning about the diversity of animals and their habitats! Activities are open for exploration from 10:00am-1:00pm and are included with your Museum admission.
BNC Demo Dance Program – Friday, April 20th
Join our friends from Ballet Nouveau Colorado for a fun participatory mini dance class taught by BNC’s dance teachers. Come ready to bop, twist and wiggle to playful music! Dance program begins at 11:00am and is included with Museum admission.
Happy Baby Cooking Class – Tuesday, April 24th
Learn how to make healthy snacks and meals for toddlers with Clelia from HappyBaby Foods. HappyBaby is committed to making baby and toddler food as healthy and delicious as homemade with the essential nutrients needed for optimal growth and development. This special cooking class begins at 9:30am and is included with Museum admission.
Ollin Farms Garden Program – Friday, April 27th
Join our friends from Ollin Farms as they prepare and plant WOW!’s spring vegetable garden. Kids can watch and even lend a helping hand as weeds are pulled, soil is tilled, and new seeds are planted! Garden program begins at 12:30pm and is included with Museum admission.
