<p><strong> Harmony on Harrison Summer Music Series – Friday, May 11<sup>th</sup></strong></p>
<p>Join us for the launch of the Harmony on Harrison Summer Music Series, a collaboration between neighboring Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts and WOW! Children&#8217;s Museum. The fun-filled four-part summer music series begins with The Mountain Music Duo performance at WOW! on Friday, May 11th at 11:00am. A unique and inspired collaboration, The Mountain Music Duo performs not only classical music, but also fresh interpretations of familiar jazz and pop standards, as well as contemporary compositions by Colorado composers. Stay after the show to try out instruments with Tenly and James! Performance is included with your Museum admission.</p>
<p><strong>Mother’s Day Crafts – Saturday, May 12<sup>th</sup></strong></p>
<p>Make a special card for your mom or grandma! Mother’s Day crafts are included with Museum admission and are available in WOW!’s Art Room while supplies last.</p>
<p><strong>Discovery Days – Tuesday, May 15<sup>th</sup> &amp; Friday, May 16<sup>th</sup></strong></p>
<p>This Month’s Topic: Get Growing!</p>
<p>Discover your inner scientist! Drop-in and explore our monthly informal hands-on science sessions. This month, we’re learning about plants and how they grow! Activities are open for exploration from 10:00am-1:00pm and are included with your Museum admission.</p>

<p><strong>Ollin Farms Garden Program – Friday, May 25th</strong></p>
<p>Join our friends from Ollin Farms as they prepare and plant WOW!&#8217;s summer vegetable garden. Kids can watch and even lend a helping hand as weeds are pulled, soil is tilled, and new veggies are planted! Garden program begins at 10:30am and is included with Museum admission.</p>

<p>WOW! Children’s Museum will be closed on Sunday, May 13<sup>th </sup>for Mother’s Day and on Sunday, May 27<sup>th</sup> and Monday, May 28<sup>th</sup> for Memorial Day.</p>

Children&#8217;s Museum is pleased to announce the launch of the <em>Harmony on Harrison Summer Music Series </em>on Friday, May 11<sup>th</sup>.  The <em>Harmony on Harrison Summer Music Series</em> is a collaboration between neighboring organizations, Rocky Mountain Center for Musical Arts and WOW! Children&#8217;s Museum.  The Series will bring talented music instructors from RMCMA to WOW! once a month for special programs that combine performance with hands-on learning for children and families.  The program themes range from classical and cultural to educational.  Running from May through August, the Series will be held at WOW! and all programs will be included with general museum admission.</p>
<p><strong>The Mountain Music Duo &#8211; Friday, May 11<sup>th</sup> at 11:00am</strong></p>
<p>A unique and inspired collaboration, <em>The Mountain Music Duo</em> performs not only classical music, but also fresh interpretations of familiar jazz and pop standards, as well as contemporary compositions by Colorado composers. Stay after the show to try out instruments with RMCMA instructors Tenly and James! The program is included with general museum admission.</p>
<p><strong>Music Together &#8211; Wednesday, June 20<sup>th</sup> at 11:00am</strong></p>
<p><em>Music Together</em> is a research-based, internationally recognized early childhood music program, offering developmentally-appropriate, fun musical experiences for young children and their parents, grandparents, or caregivers. This program offers 100% participation for kids and their caregivers. The program is included with general museum admission.</p>
<p><strong>Bilingual Venezuelan &amp; Flute Music &#8211; Thursday, July 26<sup>th </sup>at 11:00am  </strong></p>
<p>Enjoy a morning of music with RMCMA faculty Ysmael Reyes, flute, and Gina Vega, flute, cuatro and percussion. Learn how the wind instruments work, and play music with them in musical games and activities. No previous musical experience necessary. A limited number of instruments will be provided to play during the program. The program will be conducted in both English and Spanish, and included with general museum admission.</p>
<p><strong>Instrument Petting Zoo &#8211; Thursday, August 30<sup>th</sup> at 11:00am </strong></p>
<p>Instructors from RMCMA will bring over a number of different instruments from each family and help the kids make some noise on them. Examples will include a violin, trumpet, flute, percussion, and maybe even a trombone! The program is included with general museum admission.</p>
<p>&#8220;RMCMA and WOW! wanted to collaborate on something that would contribute to Lafayette&#8217;s arts community in a unique way.  The <em>Harmony on Harrison Summer Music Series </em>does this by offering families high-quality musical programs in a creative museum setting,&#8221; said Jessica Ludwig, Events Coordinator, WOW! Children’s Museum.</p>

Children’s Museum’s 7</em><em>th </em><em>Annual Auction &amp; Casino Night Gala, a benefit for WOW!’s 2012 Scholarship Fund. This fund provides free museum admissions and low cost memberships to children, families, school groups, and organizations in need. Last year, WOW!&#8217;s Scholarship Fund served over 12,000 children and families &#8211; a record demand.</em></p>

Lafayette, Colorado</strong> &#8211; WOW! Children’s Museum (World of Wonder) today announced upcoming events, programs, and activities for children and families at the Museum during the month of April.</em> <strong></strong></p>
<p>NanoDays at WOW! – April 2<sup>nd</sup> &amp; April 3<sup>rd</sup></p>
<p>Back by popular demand, NanoDays is the biggest event for the smallest science! Join us to imagine, discover, and explore a world that&#8217;s too small to see! Drop-in activities and free giveaways available from 10:00am to 1:00pm each day. This program is included with Museum admission. NanoDays is a nationwide festival of educational programs about nanoscale science and engineering and its potential impact on the future. Organized by <a href="http://www.nisenet.org/">NISE Net</a>, NanoDays is the largest public outreach effort in nanoscale informal science education and involves museums, research centers, and universities from Puerto Rico to Alaska.</p>
<p><strong>WOW!’s Black &amp; White Gala – Friday, April 13<sup>th</sup></strong></p>
<p>You’re invited to join us on Friday, April 13that A Spice of Life Event Center for WOW!’s Black &amp; White Gala, a fundraiser event with a whole new spin! Enjoy appetizers, sit down dinner, cocktails, exciting live and silent auction, casino gaming tables, helicopter rides with Copters for a Cause and more!  Special guest emcee Ken Clark from FOX 31&#8242;s Good Day Colorado.  All proceeds raised directly benefit WOW!&#8217;s Scholarship Fund, providing free museum admissions and low cost memberships to over 12,000 children and families in need.  Tickets: $75 per person; $500 for Table of 8.  Tickets can be purchased online: <a href="../../">www.wowchildrensmuseum.org</a>.</p>
<p><strong>Discovery Days – April 17<sup>th</sup> &amp; April 18<sup>th</sup></strong></p>
<p>This Month’s Topic: Our Animal Friends</p>
<p>Discover your inner scientist! Drop-in and explore our monthly informal hands-on science sessions. This month, we’re learning about the diversity of animals and their habitats! Activities are open for exploration from 10:00am-1:00pm and are included with your Museum admission.<strong></strong></p>
<p>BNC Demo Dance Program – Friday, April 20<sup>th</sup></p>
<p>Join our friends from Ballet Nouveau Colorado for a fun participatory mini dance class taught by BNC’s dance teachers. Come ready to bop, twist and wiggle to playful music! Dance program begins at 11:00am and is included with Museum admission.<strong></strong></p>
<p>Happy Baby Cooking Class – Tuesday, April 24<sup>th</sup></p>
<p lang="en-US">Learn how to make healthy snacks and meals for toddlers with Clelia from HappyBaby Foods. HappyBaby is committed to making baby and toddler food as healthy and delicious as homemade with the essential nutrients needed for optimal growth and development. This special cooking class begins at 9:30am and is included with Museum admission.<strong></strong></p>
<p>Ollin Farms Garden Program – Friday, April 27<sup>th</sup></p>
<p>Join our friends from Ollin Farms as they prepare and plant WOW!&#8217;s spring vegetable garden. Kids can watch and even lend a helping hand as weeds are pulled, soil is tilled, and new seeds are planted! Garden program begins at 12:30pm and is included with Museum admission.<em></em></p>
